Chiddingstone is one of the most dog-friendly places you could hope to find
For a start, here at The Castle Inn, we are particularly proud of our pooch-perfect credentials. Not only do we have a gorgeous garden, where they can take advantage of a free bowl of water, but they are also welcome in the bar – where we might even have the odd treat for them too.
Then there’s the stunning Kent countryside. There are so many great walks in this neck of the woods. Whether it’s a short stroll to the village’s fascinating rock formation, the Chiding Stone, or further afield to local attractions such Chartwell or Hever Castle.
Furthermore, dogs on the lead are welcome in the grounds of neighbouring historic house, Chiddingstone Castle, where they also hold an annual dog show. Part of the annual Country and Food Fair, this is a fabulous family day with country sports, food, drink, shopping and lots more. Taking place this year on Sunday September 8, from 11am to 5pm, it’s well worth a visit!
Finally, the village even has its own dog-sitting service, Dog At My Home, where your four-legged friend will get to stay in a family home with a secure garden and acres of walking. They also offer a dog-walking service, with all times of the day covered, and even a dog-grooming service.
The Castle Inn at Chiddingstone is the perfect place for dog-lovers
Whether you have a terrific terrier, a super spaniel or an amazing Alsatian, you can be sure of a warm welcome here at The Castle Inn in Chiddingstone our historic 15th century pub.
